Welcome "Mate". As someone already mentioned....'can't have enough Aussies" on this forum.
Don't blame you for being in love with your Kizashi. Mine is also red (SLS-AWD), is a 2011, and looks 'similar' to yours. Happy Motoring!

Re: What tires are best?
OK, I'll keep my comments on this post to "What tires are best". I also like the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3s because as one poster already commented about: they fill the 18" rims and actually scuff if you cut corners (as I do) and scrape the curbs. Would rather I scuff my tires than d...

Re: What tires are best?
Agree with KuroNekko on choice of tires. I know the Michelin Pilot AS 3s are expensive but as far as traction, handling, and ride go....I think they're worth the bucks. Also agree that you have to watch what the 'neighborhood mechanic' does to your vehicle. Point of reference: I almost always change...

Re: Electric car sales...
Good info on alternate propulsion systems. Your perspective is interesting and articulate (as usual) & I believe right on target. And after numerous comments on a prior thread about 'fuel additives'....I made a promise to myself that I would keep a low profile. I will try again after this post. ...

Re: Fuel additives?
BMW sells a bevy of products, like: insect remover, glass cleaner, wheel cleaner gel, polishing cloths, etc. etc. They will sell anything that they think customers want so they can make a $$ buck on it. However, if you ask a BMW mechanic if they would use the products (BMW glass cleaner, fuel additi...

Re: Fuel additives?
Hmm, regarding your last post and this comment: "One of the remedies is the use of additives to counteract the ethanol. It's entirely possible that Irv, or his mechanics, use these additives to keep the car running well. Omission of any talk of additives is not proof he uses none for his vehicl...

Re: Fuel additives?
BootyMac makes a good point. However, I noticed that the paper was written by authors all affiliated (who I assume are on the payroll of) w/Chevron Research Co. Aren't they a major provider of fuel additives? Don't you think that's a little weird??? However, still a good and valid point. One point o...

Re: Fuel additives?
First of all, he doesn't look down on other consumer advocates. Those are my words, not his. The only people I hear him diss are the big banks and ripoff artists. Secondly, he is a miser.... most would call CHEAP. His method of saving might not be your cup of tea, but it sure is effective. I don't l...

Re: Fuel additives?
Good question. I belive Clark Howard is the number 1 consumer warrior in the USA. He has a syndicated radio show each weeknight. He retired at a young age as a multi-millionaire and spends his time now advising consumers on how to make the best deal, not get ripped off, and explains/reiterates how t...
