Re: Graphite Plasti Dip Grill/Rhino Rack install

Nice. Thanks for the pics! My car is identical to yours, so now I know what mine will look like when I do this. :)

Re: 'Suggestions' from dealer

That stupid thing broke on mine in some deep snow last winter. It's just hanging there by one screw on my car since I haven't attempted to fix it

Re: Really poor gas mileage

Tailgating a truck does make a huge difference in mileage but it's hard on the paint on the front of your car....

Re: What Did You Do With Your Kizashi Today?

Oh, haha. Yeah, I did read that it takes a few hundred miles for the resin to properly cure and the break-in process to be completely done. After that, the brakes may become even more effective. I'm curious to see about brake dust with these new pads and rotors. My car is currently dirty and the wh...

Re: Let's talk about brakes

Yeah I've done that before. Did it on my sx4. I wasn't trying to save the rotors this time around so I just smacked them. I always put some grease on the hub before reinstalling the rotor. The factory doesn't do this (obviously). Just a little coating. If you do this, the rotors will come right off ...

Re: What Did You Do With Your Kizashi Today?

I didn't follow the bedding procedure though. Why not? I always notice improvement after the break-in procedure after the cool-down. It's quite important for brake and rotor life. Here's the procedure I followed given this company made the brake pads I installed. http://www.powersto...

Re: What Did You Do With Your Kizashi Today?

Looking forward to your guide! How many miles and what was the pad life like? The car has about 46,000 miles. The pads had about 35~40% left for the fronts and probably about 45% for the rears. The main reason I overhauled the brakes was because my rotors were warped. The OE rotors also had some co...

I'd buy one If the resale plummets. But I doubt that will happen

Re: Let's talk about brakes

It's easy. You need: 19mm socket with breaker bar 14mm wrench 12mm wrench Wire brush Brake cleaner Rags Brake grease A hammer if you're removing rotors And of course a jack and jack stands. It's an easy job. Take your time and do it right. :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk When I was younger I ...

Re: Kizashi Remote Start

Zombie thread I know, but I am wondering what good remote start options are out there now. Who here has remote start? I'm just looking for something simple and inexpensive that won't eff up the car. A good local installer wants $400 to put a decent system in. Don't know what brand it is though. Any ...
