Re: My Kizashi! Catback exhaust, LED's, HID's & RRM SRI so f

With the LED replacement globes that some say do not work , if you put them in with a 180 deg or end for end switch they should work.
LED are diode's so they only work with the current one way unless they are AC diode's.
From experience try the reversal before you say they do not work :o

Re: Evaluation: My Installed RRM Mods

Interesting about the catback exhaust, I have just put mine on and I can't stand the noise of it. Off to fit a resonator asap. How did you go for fitment of the catback? I had a lot of trouble as my car is the AWD and the system hits the rear subframe on the left side when you hit bumps. Did you fit...

Re: ECU Question: Why Piggy-back, Not Re-flash?

At the moment 60km further on a tank the piggyback will pay for itself in under 10 months. You can by the unit cheaper however then you must figure out the wiring and have a setting programed. These are the things that RRM have put the time into in their development. As I said before the driveabilit...

Re: ECU Question: Why Piggy-back, Not Re-flash?

Fuel economy has also improved, which was my main reason for installing the piggyback. How much? How are you measuring? How many tanks have you calculated it on? There is a ton of variability in MPG - it takes some real data analysis to determine if the improvement is "real" or not. The s...

Re: ECU Question: Why Piggy-back, Not Re-flash?

Just installed the piggy back the other day. I run 98 RON premium fuel in my cars, after installing the piggy as the only modification I could feel straight away there was more response to low speed throttle input. It seems to lock in the convertor earlier, as someone suggested the ECM and transmiss...

They drop the car about 30mm (1.1/4" inch) from the standard springs about 20mm lower than the sport AWD, ride a little firmer than the sports.

Roll bar is better first up suspension change, it works really well.

Re: Is it the CVT or a regulator setting that causes the lag

Well, I have a 2011 manual, and there is no lag when I punch it. It seems 'adequate' to me. Didn't I read that when they first came out the car magazines rated the 0-60 times for the manual in the low to mid 7's? Do you feel that is inadequate for a 185 horse car weighing around 3400 lbs.? You are ...
