Re: Kizashi Coolant

Just a note that the maintenance schedule specifies the first replacement interval of Super Blue coolant at 90k miles or 90 months, then fresh Super Blue every 45k miles or 45 months thereafter.

Re: Service Engine

Autozone/NAPA/etc will pull codes for you for free - that will tell you exactly what's going on vs. just throwing parts at it.

Re: Thick White Smoke from exhaust - HELP

Also check the oil to see if it's coolant-y (it'll have a milky color). Sounds like a headgasket either blown or on its way out. How many miles on the car?

Re: Parts Availability

Depending on the trim level, values are probably getting close to bottoming out. I've seen a few S trims in good shape for around $5k in my region. It'd be a good safe car to "drive into the ground" without losing much more to depreciation. AKA keep it until the first big accident or major...

Re: Buzzing Noise When Car Parked and Doors Locked?

Ooh I know this one - it's the fuel system doing a self-check. From the owner's manual: "LEAK DETECTION PUMP NOTE: Your vehicle has a pump to regularly check the vehicle’s evaporative emission control system for leaks. This check is performed approximately five hours after the engine is turned ...

Maybe it's just me, but this is a super cool review. I'm saving this for the next time one of my cheapo Harbor Freight LED flashlights dies

Re: What Did You Do With Your Kizashi Today?

Those should be good tires for the money. They may be the next set of replacement tires for my Kizashi which currently has 141,700 miles. You should do a tire review on them in a separate thread. First impressions are real good - smooth, quiet, better riding. Not as sharp as the BFGs. I'll wait unt...

Re: What Did You Do With Your Kizashi Today?

I have new tires scheduled to get installed tomorrow. The BF Goodrich Sport Comp 2s lasted just over three years and 20k miles. Aside from exceptional traction in the dry, they were pretty horrible - so loud and harsh that it gave my car a few new interior buzzes. But they handled aggressive corneri...

Re: 50 inch tv

Yes, I got my 51" TV home from Sears about four years ago. It was a tight fit, but it worked for me. Measure the pass-through between the trunk and rear seats to make sure it'll fit (even diagonally).
