Just did it today. Not with Dremeling or drilling a hole with a drill. It pops right out and there's really isn't a function for it to keep water out. There is no danger to remove it.

Edit: Updated pics - Added more for clarification.

Yeah, I'm not really sure why NA models have the cover. Nanny state?

Somehow they leveled themselves. All good now.

I figured I'd post some pics of the marker light replacement. It uses a tiny bulb, and is accessible from the inside of the bumper. (Bumper needs to come off of course). You simply twist the connector off counter-clockwise to gain access to the bulb. The tiny bulb pulls straight out.

I'm also guessing to change the signal lights, you need to gain access through the wheel well by removing the plastic clips to get to the fender from the inside. (I'm assuming you should remove the wheel to have more room to work).

The turn signal bulb housing pops out. No need to go from inside. Unfortunately you cannot simply replace the bulb as it is completely sealed. Stupid on suzuki's part. Someone on the forum did manage to get them apart with some heat and pressure and I belieave he put in led's.

I really think the headlight adjuster covers were put on in NA because of more sensitive laws in the US. I removed these ridiculous covers early on in my Kizashi ownership. After adjusting them, you see how much the driver's side headlight was factory-adjusted away from the left (I suppose for oncoming traffic). While that may be suitable for city driving, it's a hazard for rural roads because it takes the light output from the left side of the road.

Antiquated US laws are also why the latest European self-adjusting LED headlights are not allowed in the US despite being safer than what's available in the US.

While I'm not saying it was easy, and certainly do not attempt this if you have big meaty mitts, I was able to replace my Passenger side marker light through the fender without removing the bumper. I used an 8mm socket with a pair of pliers to loosen/tighten the front nut (eventually). One thing I'll add is that the rubber grommet that came with my replacement was not the same as the one I took off. It was much thicker and the rubber alignment nubbin was on the opposite side. It wouldn't fit. The part # was 1 digit off. I used my old one. (2011 SLS Sport).

If you just replaced the bulb, there's no reason for the aiming to change unless something was not put back together the same way it came apart. Check and make sure the light went back in correctly. It's easy to get it skewed a little.
