will suzuki void your warranty if u decide to do the oil changes yourself but still have the schelduled service performed at the dealer?

No, they cannot legally do that,, as long as you keep documentation of your poikl changes. Dated receipts for the correct oil and filter, with notations of date and mileage when you actually do the oil changes.

Technically, you don't need to use the factory filter. Per the Magnusson-Moss act the burden of proof is on THEM to prove that the aftermarket equipment damaged the vehicle.
That said, at 7500 miles per oil change, we're not talking about saving a lot of money per year by going to the local place instead of the dealer.

Yea, I was planning on doing the oil myself at 1000 miles
