Kenwood DNX Nav changing randomly stations

I've seen this issue raised previously but can't find any relevant posts.
Basically, I've got a Kenwood factory DNX nav unit fitted and it will randomly change the radio tuning by itself. I'm fairly sure it's an issue with the steering wheel remote button control interface, but thought someone might have some knowledge.

I have this issue, and also with the nav not loading the maps. Dealer already swapped the HU, both issues still happening.

Ironically I drove it for a couple of hours today and it didn't happen once.
Do you get the radio tuning jumping or it changing presets? Mine seems to be a case of the station tuning jumping by one press. Worst case an aftermarket steering wheel control interface should hopefully fix that. I don't think I'd have much luck with dealer warranty as I bought mine off an interstate dealer on Ebay as "old stock - no returns."
I haven't had any map related issues yet.

It jumps presets, but that's how I set up the seek mode.
