My front left head light was out but a couple of raps on it brought it back to life. Bad connection I'm assuming. I know that to replace the lamp you have to remove the bumper cover. Can I get to the connector to snug it up without removing the bumper? Thanks.

Yes, when I changed my manual transmission fluid, I removed the air filter box for better access to fill the new fluid. I noticed that when I removed the box, there was much better access to the Left Hand side headlight.

I suggest you remove the air filter box to access the headlight. It's much easier and faster than removing the bumper if you only need to deal with the LH side.

Also, I suggest you use dielectric grease on the bulb's connection with the harness. It helps current flow and prevents corrosion. You can get it at auto parts stores and it's the same stuff used to grease spark plug connections to wires/coil packs.

Can you get the bulb out if you remove the air filter box? I'd much rather do that than remove the bumper cover.

I am quite positive you can. Removing the air filter box should give you the clearance you need to remove the cap and pull out the bulb.

Cool. Thanks. It also looked like access would be much easier if the ECU was unbolted and lifted out of the way.

After pulling the air filter box and moving the ECU, I have concluded that you can't get to the left side low beam bulb. The only thing I was able to do was to get the cap off the back. And then it was a real pain to get back on. No way I could remove the bulb. I have pretty small hands and pretty good dexterity. But no way. Looks like if it goes out again it's remove the bumper time.

Well, I did not try to remove my headlights then so maybe I was wrong about the air filter box giving your enough space. Sorry.

When I deal with my headlights, I take off the bumper and make it worth my time.
The low beams, high beams, and the position bulbs have been customized to the 3 different types of automotive lighting: HID, Incandescent, and LED, respectively.
