Heater fan won't turn off.

Hi
After starting the aircon on my son's 2010 Kizashi I am now unable to turn the fan blower off. The console off switch is working and turns the aircond system off except for the blower fan which keeps running till the ignition is turned off.
Starting the car again and the blower is still running. I have removed the 50a fuse to stop fan.
A mechanic was unable to help and insisted there should also be a relay for the blower (that may be faulty), yet I am unable to locate any mention of a blower relay in the fuse info.
Thanks for any advice.

check the schematic and do a voltage test on the instrument panel button

check and erase codes in body control and hvac systems. make note of what they were and see what comes back. You may've have had a low voltage situation

Thanks for your replies.
The fan resistor was at fault and kept the blower motor running.
For those unsure of the resistor location it is located on the firewall approx 40cm to the right of the blower fan (R/H drive).
Sitting behind plastic air duct and a bit hard to see. Two screws holding it into a recess in the firewall.
Fixed now.
