I don't know of a specific shop but the issue wasn't specific to just the Kizashi. It was known to occur in other vehicles of a similar era including Nissan, Infiniti, and Mercedes-Benz models. Given the Kizashi is most similar to Nissan models and likely used the same parts supplier for the steering lock, try to find a shop that has experience fixing the issue on a Nissan. As for parts, you might want to supply the parts yourself and get them on Megazip.net. I think approaching a shop with an issue on a car they don't know well might sound a bit overwhelming compared to providing the parts and saying it might be similar to steering lock issues encountered with Nissans.Kentroyals5 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 23, 2024 8:40 pm Anyone have any luck in the state of Washington (Puget Sound, specifically Tacoma area) locating a shop that can both order and replace wheel lock module? I have called about a dozen places this morning and no one works on them. Even Greg's Japanese Auto doesn't.

Okay I have the steering wheel lock part from Japan after 6 weeks. I have yet to find a shop that will work on this..are there any videos/instructions/manuals to replace this part?

I had this fix installed a couple weeks ago. So far, so good. Sounds "different" at start, but my car starts, so happy with new part. Was about $500 to order part direct from Japan.
