Anything related to the Kizashi can go here, but please look at the other headings first. Your topic may fit better under something else.

Yeah, well, the quicker more and more people in this country buy in to all of this ego-maniacs politically mandated destruction of our country under the guise of "green", "good for America", saving the day...whatever, the quicker we all becomes slaves. The volt is a vivid reminder. Fact, not fiction. Guess where the first place I ever saw a Volt was?

yeah... a gas station filling up because "there's never anywhere to charge the worthless thing". That was quoted by the not-so-thrilled-with-it owner.

But also do you know that we subsidies 4 billions dollars every year to keep the gas prices down. And those 4 billions does not benefit consumers but the oil companies and terrorist countries.

Why do you suppose B. Hussein O. isn't in favor of extracting our own oil out from under Alaska then whilst we develop alternative systems?

Battery powered cars are a bad idea, period. Quick and relatively simple to design and to produce, yes. Which was the entire premise behind the volt (political gain, yes). We build hydrogen fuel dispensers, among various other control sytems, where I work for one of our many oem customers. 10 years ago we started doing this for road vehicle applications but lack of gov support and a clear vision and plan by our "leaders" stifflede that. Calif. is the only real supporter. Take a guess where the market has led us to develop installations for since our government isn't supporting the OE developers of hydrogen fueled auto technology? Warehouses, replacing battery operated fork vehicles. Why? Batteries suck, are expensive, extremely heavy and a maintenance nightmare and warehouse operators understand what works effectively and what doesn't.

I do fundamentally disagree with your Ron. :)

We can get into the details some other day.

I feel sorry to bring another car to this forum and caused so much controversial and poilitical discussion. My point is to express my love for my Kizashi because is fun to drive and is rare on the roads which makes me feel that I am not part of the bunch Hyundais and Hondas out there.
Also like the technology on the VOLT which makes it unique in a world that innovation is rare nowadays since the comercialization of the internet.
As a Engineering I really praise techonological advances that benefits the consumer directly. If I can affort solar panels and produce my own electricity to charge my car. Which is my next goal. At least in part I will be energy independent from the grid.

I know that always will be controversies and I accept the fact that I can not change the world and what I do is respect peoples believe.

A president from a third world country said in the 1800's " The respect for personal believes is peace"

Peace everyone and have a nice day.

The real American spirit is to get whatever car one pleases to get.
Some people argue that buying American is patriotic while others hate on American union workers. Some think only Asian imports are of good quality and others think it's German luxury or bust. Some love hybrids and electric cars while others love their diesel trucks.
The real American just buys whatever he or she wants. That's the American spirit of independence and freedom. After all, it's your money so why should I have a say in what you buy? All I actually care for is that one just buys within their means. It's stupid to get a car one cannot afford to keep.

I do agree that Hydrogen should be the future.
