IN HONOR OF THOSE MORE ABLE:

I did the TPMS hack posted here with my newly-mounted Enkei Tuning Fujin wheels with TireRack-supplied installed TPMS sensors.
It was simple and easy.
My dealer would charge me $80.

I used the TPMS hack here are steps to put the car in relearn per SAMIR D:
" Have the fob in your pocket
- Open the car and sit in the drivers seat. Close the door. Make sure all doors are closed.
- Push the start button twice to get it to acc mode. Keep your foot off the brake or you'll start the car.
- Within 5 seconds of seeing ACC on the dash, open the driver's side door and reach to your left to find the driver's side door plunger switch. Press it and hold for 2 seonds. I've found using the dome light as a good indicator as to when the switch was depressed. My light did not extinguish.
- Release after pressing for 2 seconds, and then do it again for 2 seconds.
- Release after pressing for 2 seconds, and then do it again for 4 seconds.
- When you release it this time, you'll see the tpms light start to flash slowly (about once a second). If not, start at the begining after turning the car off".

once it is in relearn mode start with drop the air to 5-10 lbs each tire, until all tire registered then add more air. please confirm.

To add:
-When I opened the door to push the switch I left it open to drop the air pressure
-I left the IGN in 'on'
-I used a lollipop stick to drop air; I counted to 25 at each corner

No more flashing blinding lights.
So thank you to those more able to figure this stuff out.

Oddly, last tank Citgo mid-grade returned 26.8 MPG.
Nice, though.
I attribute the increase in MPG to our recent really warm weather (which often forced me off the dirt roads because the frost in them melts, leaving their surface 'unpredictable', which means less throttle hammering).

Last tank 26.1 MPG.

Almost hit a critter yesterday; it was walking with traffic so I couldn't see its eyes glowing (it was dark).
Whew.

The studded Goodyears are a bit greasy in rain-slicked corners, so I'll be experimenting with air pressures.

I'm finally caught up! LoL

@WESHOOT: You mentioned something about playing with the tire pressures in you Kizashi a bunch of pages back. Something you might be brave enough to try when you get your new summer tires: Pump the tire pressure in the rears higher than the fronts. Doing this should help encourage the back end to be a little looser with out having to jump on the brakes mid-corner. Since the tires are spec'd to be stock at an insane 38 psi (which I'd like to note is higher than any other car I've ever checked), you'll probably have to go up to 42 psi before you start to notice a much difference. I tried it once for a few days this summer, and it helped reduce the understeer a bit. Also, it made drive on the highway a little smoother, which surprised me. I put them back to about even with the fronts, because it's my family car, and in the summer heat, I didn't want the tires getting too close to the 50 psi maximum that they are rated for.

I've found since diving into a corner loads up the front end I prefer higher pressure at that end to resist roll-over.
I can already get the back end loose enough (think :o "WAY too high entry speed; WAY" ).

one way to bring a little enjoyment to my daily commute is finding a nice sharp entry or exit ramp and pushing through it with AWD!
