I'm turning 60, live on a dirt road in a snow belt, sell new Hondas, and my hobbies are competitive handgun shooting (USPSA A33102), and driving.
I bought my new 2011 Kizashi S AWD on December 23, 2010 at Burlington Suzuki. I don't actually know its sale price. Didn't care. I imagine it was around $20--21K.
It's always interesting to learn of other members' other hobbies. I think ~tc~ is a watch collector and now we learn Weshoot2 is a competitive shooter. Weshoot2, do you have a really nice custom 1911? That's what comes to mind when I hear competitive handgun shooting.
Other than cars and working on the VW camper, my other passion is the outdoors such as hiking and camping. We take the VW camper out camping a lot and it's really more of a camping vehicle than a vintage collector car to us. Hence, it's rather dirty and full of dog hair. I also approach fixes and mods to be more practical than preserving the original condition/state of the car.
I was wondering if I am the only UK member on the forum, as there are only 500 Kizis in the country. Strangely enough my neighbour is a sales manager for a near by Suzuki outlet, and the UK head office is 600 yards from my home. I have a friend who is a very senior person at their head office, and he informs me that there are 8 Kizis sat in their warehouse waiting to be company cars.
With regards to other interests, I have a season ticket at Spurs (soccer to you). This is a very expensive hobby in the UK, and to be honest we have had a pretty awful season.
I am 42 and Director of Quality & Technical Services for the largest master distributor of pipe, valves, fittings, and flanges. My Kizashi is a 2011 SLS Sport CVT with nav - only option it doesn't have is AWD, which isn't exactly required in Houston. It is black on black.
My hobbies are travel (work sends me all over, mostly Italy, India, China, and Malaysia) and travel photography, golf, and watches. Before Houston, I lived in Colorado and did a lot of four-wheeling there. I still have two Toyota 4Runners (an 85 that is basically a street legal rock buggy and a 93 that is way more capable than it looks) but they never get used off road down here. My watch collection centers around historically American brands like Hamilton, Ball, and RGM.

As a director, is your Kizi a company car or do you own it. If a privately owned vehicle, and taking into account the fact you must be on a decent earner, why the Kizi ?
Why the Kizashi?
- I didn't see the reason to pay more for a lesser car (with a "better" badge perhaps)
- I like having different, unique things. Why I have a Suzuki instead of an IS and don't own a Rolex.

Ours is your twin, except with AWD.
I have a lot of respect for those Toyotas. We had one as a delivery truck in an auto parts distribution company I had and it was nearly bulletproof even with 300k on the chassis.

Here here! I too care less about the badge vs the quality of the car. I still wouldn't trade my 94 Accord for a newer 'better' Accord. Very few cars were built like the early Accords.
