So the thing to do is put your stock sensors on your snow tires and not worry about your summer tires. Put a piece of electrical tape over the light during the summer, and reap the added benefits of having nanny muzzled and actually being in control of your own car like in the past.

I will be 'mounting' MY TPMS sensors (currently in a bag in my glovebox) into a '95 Tercel wheel that holds air.
Said wheel will reside in my trunk.

I like the nannies for unfamiliar dirt-road-bombing.

The tape leaves a sticky residue; my dash flashers are obscured with Post-it notes

This is a neat trick. I've heard of people using small trailer wheels with this trick as well, if you're looking to reduce the size

You can get the VDO/Contiental/Siemens sensors that are the exact same as our Suzuki ones (since VDO made them for Suzuki) for about $32/ea here:
http://www.amazonsupply.com/vdo-se57772 ... 1390076875

And there's some good ebay auctions that pop up every so often with a set of the Suzuki ones for well under $100.

And I'm almost willing to bet that the air trick will work to trigger the sensors for a dealerless and toolless relearn. 8-)

3 years ONE month today

110,588 miles.

I miss my VSC, because now, without it active, I have to pay more attention when driving the backroads vigorously.
Fine when I'm "up on the wheel", but I prefer to relax a bit when carrying a slightly more modest -- yet still ground-eating -- pace. The VSC really helps catch the minor mistakes of placement and brake points, the mistakes of inattention.

Melanoma still attached; removal soon.

Got the "driver's lament"; left side skin 'issue' on me face.
So the biopsy's done, and the doc said "it doesn't look like the kind that kills ya", and I'll be finding out results and treatment shortly.

I ain't worried 'cause I'm SO fair-skinned that as a driver I kinda expected the common left side issues.
Beside, I smoke, and even worse, you should see how I drive!

You should be fine after a bit of liquid nitrogen treatment. ;)

Hoping all's well in the end. Drive w/ the window up hence forth, to avoid such situations. :)

It has been discovered that even modern auto glass does not have sufficient UV blocking to protect us fully.

Hence my life well above the equator

I ain't worried :drive:
