after three weeks....

Anything related to the Kizashi can go here, but please look at the other headings first. Your topic may fit better under something else.

legitimate complaints are cool but nit picking isnt the engine has a growl that doesnt classify as driving rough ive learned a lot here too maybe thats how i could tell nit picking and yes im a kizashi fanboy and very proud and every car will have short comings im not saying not. how high could one expectations be to not hear some kind of sound from an engine please the car is smooth and maybe some have a problem maybe you need service which somebody mentioned before

I agree that the car is smooth. I really enjoy just about everything about it. I do wish it were a little quicker all around, but I knew that when i bought it. My number one complaint is my MPG!

Love the car though!!!

I would like to see a lot of the performance issues currently spread all over the "chat" threads somehow moved over the the performance section - at least the ones with specific observations and ideas (hey MOTO - you got other plans this weekend?). The performance section has almost gone extinct.

PS - once again - am surprised there are so many "roughness" observations out there (?). i can be a nit-picker on engine and handling issues, but I have zero complaints on roughness. I have had to stop myself from pressing the start button sometimes when I forget it is already running as it is so smooth at idle and on the road (which fortunately only turns it off and not the clashing of stater motor gears as in other cars in the past - ha hs)

Maybe they used different damping in the US engine mounts - but cannot think of any reason they would not all be the same.
theres a performance group on here says they got you covered even a turbo coming im sure you saw the post .....you gonna be in heaven..haha

I don;'t intend to turbo it - would be happy with only about 20 more hp (I loose that much of that by living at 2300 feet).

Turbos (especially non-factory installed) can greatly shorten the life of the engine and drive-train, and I want to see about 200,000 miles out of this one. These are for the real street racers - not little old me.

I can move some of the threads. I'll take a look this weekend and try to get at least some of them organized.

back from a week and a half in NY city....waiting for me at home was the K&N drop in filter....put it in and VOILA....instant gratification....the throttle response is remarkably better. The stock air filter was literally choking the car's breathing. I seriously recommend CVT drivers to drop in the K&N filter or even better if they can afford it to replace the stock air filter with the RRM short air intake.

headed to the dealer this morning to address the shorted tweeter and told them about the amp problem with the Kizashi, Suzuki engineering agreed so they are replacing the amp tomorrow morning.

After driving in a rented Chevy Cobalt amongst other vehicles in NY city I really have come to appreciate the Kizashi's styling, quality, handling, and now the power feel is there too. Once my speaker is fixed I will finally enjoy the car or enact the Lemon Law....either way I am now a believer in the Kizashi.

update:
dropped the car off at the dealer, according to them the speaker distortion was coming from some loose connections on the amp. They applied some dielectric gel and adjusted the connections and they say the problem was fixed.

On the way home the speaker distortion was still there while the radio was off. They had initially told me that they were going to swap the amp but they must have changed their plan. I will be going in again, now the third time, and press them to change out the amp.

will keep updated......

Not sure about the lemon laws there, but here you could threaten to have the car declared a lemon after the 3rd unsuccessful repair. I assume that that applies to stereo repairs, too.
