Ah, thanks. I may try Pennzoil Platinum then. Yeah, the manual trans needs to be replaced at 30 correctly.
Just completed a 900+ mile road trip south on the Blue Ridge Parkway from the north entrance as far south as we could go before the road closed somewhere after the Pisgah tunnels. Took 40 east and 85 north to 95 and then home. Started Friday morning and got back this morning around 1:30a.m.
The Kizashi did amazingly! It looked the Parkway cruiser and had a couple Mercedes and Audi drivers looking to see what it was. It handled like it was on rails with only a tiny bit of wiggle when the brakes were depressed on steeper declines. No brake fade was noticed. Could have used some more power on some of the inclines as I had to go into 3rd at one point just to stay above 2k rpm, but most of the trip was a 5th gear fun fest. There was enough power to pass slower traffic in the passing zones, but took longer than I'd have liked.
I highly recommend this Parkway at least once, the views are scenic if a bit overwhelming for drivers afraid of heights. The road has few guardrails and some of the turns if missed will send you hundreds of feet off the side of a mountain but maintaining control is not too hard as long as you're paying attention. We managed to go on a good weekend! Hardly any other cars on the road on Friday. Saturday was a bit busy, but it was also an amazingly sunny day while Friday was rainy dreary. Pictures to come later!
EDIT: averaged 32mpg over the 2 days in mountain driving. Best tank was 36.71mpg!(actual mpg, not car dash mpg)
What Did You Do With Your Kizashi Today?
The Blue Ridge Parkway is considered one of the best drives in America. I've heard it's especially spectacular in the fall when the leaves change color. I'd like to drive it sometime too.

Living in the DC area, I'm used to artificially low speed limits now. It first took time getting used to when I moved from California.WESHOOT2 wrote:(except for its artificially low speed limit.....)

Skyline Drive has a 35mph limit.
The BRP has a 45 mph limit. Both of these roads at times can have heavy enforcement.
But, these roads are for slow driving and enjoying the sights. If your looking to make time or check out your cars limits you are on the wrong roads.
In the fall when the leaves are turning colors there are just too many people, most with motorhomes on both of these roads. Then you can't even hope to get to 35 mph.

I definitely went at the right time then! Only saw 3 park rangers the whole 400 miles south. (The last ~50mi being closed) One was following a cow down the road, another had a speed trap set up at the bottom of a hill (it read TRAP all over it, a blind corner at the bottom of a really long but shallow decline so I braked), and another telling this lady she couldn't be in one of the fields taking pictures.
I'd say the speed limits are 80-85% 45mph, 10-15% 35mph and ~5% 25mph from what I experienced.

No just flat black 3M vinyl on the S and on the color part between the upper & lower grill. I only have the Kizashi emblem on the rear. Drives some guys nuts, they drive up close behind then shoot up in front of me and look for the emblem on the grill.FrankoLaMoya wrote:Hey everybody..today I thought about plasti dipping my front grill light grey (aluminum grey + silver metalizer or just metalizer alone) or maybe just the outlines of it.. Yeah yours look really good since your Kiz is white, but mine is black and it does not look that good. I will probably try it in the next 2 weeks and post some pictures!
PS I exactly know what you mean...I removed my rear Suzuki too and a lot of people are passing me in the other lane and looking over their shoulders to check out the emblem on the front grill...awesome feeling haha

I know what you mean a black car would look better with a black grill. I bought a can of Plasti Dip expecting to spray the grill with it but after putting the vinyl on I was happy. I live near the metro Detroit area and car manufacturers test cars are common, so drivers are aware of odd cars. Most with manufacture license plates. I wish I could get my hands on a manufacture plate, I would have so much fun.FrankoLaMoya wrote:Yeah yours look really good since your Kiz is white, but mine is black and it does not look that good.
