Once again, the Kizashi is acclaimed a little too late.
Jalopnik.com (a popular car blog website) has shown some love for the Kizashi in the past. It made it into a Jalopnik list months ago called "10 Great Cars No One is Buying" or something to that effect.

Now, it's in their list for "Ten Failed Cars That Should Have Been Successful". Other great cars included in the list too.

Ironically I've owned two cars on that list. Anyone else owned other vehicles on there?

Mazda 6 MPS (MazdaSpeed 6) was a phenomenal car, I wish I was in a better financial situation when they were still making them, I would have definitely bought one. It's weird why it didn't sell so well...I'm guessing $50k price tag for a Mazda was a turn off for most people..

I hate the look of the new ones though (the one just released isn't too bad but still not as good as the original). And the Mazda 3 is so damn ugly, it's beyond me how it sells so well :?

My parents had a Merkur Scorpio which was the family sedan version of the XR4Ti. It was a fantastic car for them for almost 15 years. It was a full sized hatchback which was so handy. We brought Christmas tree's home in that thing hanging out the back...something you could never do with a regular trunk. It was super advanced, great stereo, reclining rear seats, memory seats, etc...one issue was it went through tires like crazy. The Kizashi reminds me a lot of that car...great value for the money, but just couldn't take off...

It wasn't the car

It was the dealership network, more geared for sub-prime buyers.
