When I'm driving my Kizashi, the trip is never long enough.
(yes, my wife thinks I'm nuts)

Agree! I don't drive many miles but boy do I look for excuses to go out somewhere. Did not have that feeling with my last car.

Me neither. It's been quite some time since I looked forward to getting in my car and driving. Probably my '86 Dodge Shelby Charger.

Unlike many rival cars, this one is not an appliance. Suzuki really focused on driving dynamics to create a car for the driver. The result is that owners want to drive it for the sake of driving.

I too often go out just for the drive. I like to seek out nice rural roads.

Recently, there was an article on Jalopnik.com about the best 10 apps for drivers. One of them was Greatest Drive, a free app that shows you the recommended stretches of road in your location for pleasure driving as recommended by other drivers. I quickly downloaded it and will give some of these routes a run soon.

I'm with you guys....I drive a ute for my work, so only get to play in the Kizashi on the weekend or if I find some obscure reason to have to go somewhere (preferably alone :) ).

When I'm heading back home I want to just keep on going..... Trouble is we're at the end of the road.....bummer!

Same here... I'm already driving 550+km a week. Everytime, it's a pleasure, and now even more after they fixed that squeaky rear suspension. No kidding... I actually look forward to the 45mins drive to and from work everyday and in between.

I go somewhere...

Oh my, that's lovely. I'm setting out in a couple of hours from DC to Geneva Ohio, on Lake Erie for GeoPalooza (annual get together of Geo Metro whackos). Don't know how much you know about the Pennsylvania Turnpike, but it's not going to be anywhere near as nice as that.

The Geo Metro was a totally underrated car. Cheap, reliable, long lasting yet a lot of people ridiculed them.
I recall back several years ago when I was driving in Rockville, MD and saw a blue Metro in great condition. It was back when gas was outrageously expensive and it was over 4.50 a gallon in the DC area. The Metro had a decal on its back window that read something like, "I get 50 mpg. Who's laughing now?"

I really wish the Geo Metro was still around as the Suzuki Swift. The newer Swifts are pretty nice and the Swift Sport is quite the little hot hatch.

Yeah, I had six Metros, that's what made me a Suzuki fanatic. Had a great trip, saw "Metros" ranging from 70 mpg to 150 HP, there were 47 cars there.

Drove like a maniac going out, averaged 63 mph and got 31.3 mpg. Averaged 60 mph coming back, got 33.3 mpg.

PA Turnpike hasn't gotten any better looking, still jealous of bootymac.
