I was surprised to read that the reviewer liked the stock base stereo so much. I never listened to one, but I wonder what he'd think if he heard the Rockford Fosgate system in the GTS and SLS. It looks like his loaner was a S AWD.

My first Kizashi was an S model with the base stereo. The sound is clear and fed through plenty of speakers. Having only 4 to 6 speaker systems in previous vehicles, I understand why the reviewer finds the Kizashi system to be superior. Also, I don't think Subarus are known for having decent stereos. The only disappointment I had with it was the lack of volume.

Yes, the stock stereo does an okay job if you've never had a decent car audio system. The limitations quickly surface once you want to make improvements or try turning it up loud.
