Suzuki Kizashis used as unmarked police cars in Japan

Anything related to the Kizashi can go here, but please look at the other headings first. Your topic may fit better under something else.

Interestingly, they often say "please" and "thank you" over the speakers. I'll take that any day over the screeching ambulance sirens I hear daily in downtown DC that are so loud, they actually hurt your ears.
I guess it's a cultural thing--apparently Americans need to be screamed at.

Here's another video that just got uploaded of a marked police car Kizashi.
This video clearly shows what the roof attachment was for. It's to house extension arms that further raise the height of the police lights for visibility.

Is it just me or are there TWO rear view mirrors in both these videos--one mounted below the factory one?

Here's a new video of a marked Kizashi police car in action.

Interesting how that light bar is so high up. And here in the US, we're trying to eiliminate the height by completely tucking the lights in under the roofline.

I don't know why, but the Kizashi with that light bar just reminds me of the inspector gadget car from the cartoon.

That's pretty awesome. The badges they put in place of the Suzuki emblem are pretty sweet too.

Why are the lights on top on a scissor jack?

Can anyone find out if they made any power train changes to the Poli-zashies?

In response to the recent mass killing in Japan, numerous media sources are covering the tragic event and the police response. Among the police cars utilized by the region's police include the Kizashi. While I find the news of the stabbing a very sad event, I was excited to see the Kizashi deployed in police duty in Japan.

I was watching the footage waiting for a Kizashi to pop up, but I didn't see one. Good catch!

Did anyone else look at the wheels on that? Regular police equipment?

I noticed those too before I posted the video. While many of the police cars have the factory wheels, some seem to be equipped with different wheels. I've also seen other photos and videos of police Kizashis in Japan with unique wheels (which I have embedded below).

Perhaps some are aftermarket wheels, but Suzuki did offer accessory wheels for the Kizashi even in the US. These are the wheels that are listed as Kizashi accessories from Suzuki. Much like other popular accessories like the roof racks, these are no longer listed as available in stock.

Kuro, this one appears to be the same Kizashi as you referenced here:
