When I come up to a stoplight and I see a car in the next lane I'll sometimes look over to the driver and give a subtle nod, sometines they get it and somtines they dont. When the livht turns green we race to the next stop light usually about 1/10th of a mile or so. I am proud to report that I've won 4 and lost 1 to a yota camry (albeit a new one still embarrasing). My notable wins are over an Audi, BMW 325 and an Older Merc. I crushed the Buick for my 4th victory. Rest assure i am very safe when doing this. Obviously it was all about being the quicker to the gas pedal, anything longer than 2 or 3 tenths of a mike the Kizashi would be toasted by the Audi or BMW and Mercedes. I just enjoy gloating that i beat an audi. I want to say it was an A4 but couldnt tell from my rear view mirror lol. Take that you skinny jeans wearin justin beiber lookin audi fanboys!

1st gear in the 6SP is so short to me (I don't like going over 3k RPM) I can't beat anything off the line really. At rolling speed I'm good to go though.

Agreed DesRado, you barely have the clutch out when first is done and you need to shift to second. I'd like a much taller final drive ratio.

Try taking off from a stop with the ESP/TC off. It made a huge difference for my MT Kizashi.

I'll have to try that when the icy conditions go away. Thanks Kuro

So it may be quicker from 0-10, I still need to shift way to soon so I'm not revving too high. In the little over 3k miles I've driven in my Kiz, I've only been up to 4.5k rpms. :drive: Just when it starts getting fun, then I remember I'm trying to drive economically. :?

Haven't tried with regular gas but the engine revs to redline without any hesitation on American Shell 92 (best gas available in the PNW).

Hope you guys don't have the CVT variant. That's an easy way to give it a short life span.

I'm with WESHOOT2 on this one. I'm used to the CVT lag by now, so I floor it fairly regularly when I have Azumi in manual mode. I have a good deal of confidence that the computer isn't going to let me do too much damage to the transmission.

I tried to be a little more ginger on the throttle in Automatic mode because I don't like the rubber-band-feel of the the computer revving the engine to almost redline and then having to wait for the speed/acceleration to catch up with the tachometer.
