How much would it cost to replace or clean the haze on the lower half of the entertainment screen? The glass(or plastic that shows the climate control).

Is it a haze from scratches, or is the haze coming from inside?

I believe it's coming from inside, I don't really know how that would happen. I want to buy the car but I'm checking some things before I do it

I don't know if you can replace just the plastic - i'd assume you would have to replace the head unit. But I think the upper and lower screens just look different.

The picture below is from when my car was pretty much brand new (10k miles), note the different tint on the radio screen vs. the HVAC screen.

Those units are like $30 on Ebay all day. Used, of course, but you should be able get one that's not too beaten down.

Haze/fog on the backside of the plastic? Sure the car wasn't in a flood / water event? Check the VIN here:

Oh wait, that is odd. My radio and HVAC plastic is the same.

Did these come shipped with that clear plastic protector that you peel off? Those pics kind of look like that.

I was thinking that too. It's very hard to otherwise explain the opaqueness of just the lower part.
