On my 2011 Kizashi the trunk stopped opening. I tried the key fob, the button under the steering wheel or by pressing the button on the trunk while pulling the lid up. Any ideas?

There's a push button inside the glovebox that locks the trunk lid.

Like Woodie mentioned, make sure the electronic trunk cancel button was not engaged. It's a button on the right side inside the glove box. If pressed, it cancels the electronic opening of the trunk. It's a security feature for valet use.

The electric solenoid in that latch can go out too.

Trunk latch not working. Suspect it is the result of the wife slamming the trunk lid all the time. Replaced with a 2011 Camry latch from Amazon, $17.45 Camry latch has an attachment on the rear for a push/pull rod. Low and behold the Kizashi trunk lid has a hole under the latch mounting point that this fits into with no problem. Latch has 2 10mm bolts holding it in place, and a 3 pin electrical connector.

Mine went out too and I don't slam the trunk. Perhaps it's time these things wear out at 10+ years old.
And yes, the electronic latch for the similar model year Camry is a suitable replacement.
