So I'm wanting to install heated leather seats in my 2012 Base model 6sp kizashi, but I dont have the correct wiring harness. My question is am I able to connect an adapter? The fuses necessary are in the car, I have checked, it's just the colourful wires coming out of underneath the seat. I'm thinking of taking it to a sparky (electrician) to have one possibly installed if possible.

Here is just the drivers seat. The condition is pretty immaculate for a car that had 144k kilometres (90k miles) on it.
These are the wires. The first one is my current one for the cloth seats I have, and the second one is the upgraded seats
First Second I have also bought and installed the air conditioner unit that has the heated seats button, so do these need additional wires too?


Another question of mine is that with the SLS steering wheel I also grabbed, it came with paddle shifters in which I removed.
If I change out the back plastic with my current steering wheel which doesn't have the holes, are the loose wires fine? Also should there be any issues with the automatic steering wheel swap to a manual?

Steering wheel I bought: If I can install these parts, i am thinking of selling the parts I do not use
If your wondering the price I paid, here is a breakdown ($AUD):
•550 for the seats (front + rear in great condition)
•110 for the steering wheel
•150 for the heated seat function (he overcharged me on this because the next day I went to him, he told me I had a great deal on the seats. He also thought to take out the air conditioner, he would need to remove all the interior body panels instead of just unclipping it, but what can you do :/ )

from your first picture, your car does not have the required wiring and connector to plug the heated seat and power seat that 2-pin connector is only for the seat belt switch. As you can see in your second picture white connector is different this connector(20-pin connector) contains signals and power for the heated seat and power seat + seatbelt switch.
most of these signals are for heated seat functionality but power seats also need some signals from BCM and also the Parking position of in CVT model + power and ground of course!
BTW white connector is L404 and for ref, I attached the wiring diagram I hope it helps

and for your second question, you can leave the connector for the paddle shifter unconnected without any problem.

So if I took it to a car electrician, told them what I want, would it be possible to get these seats working? Or do I need to go back the salvage yard to grab the wiring (expensive )?
I really hope to be able to install these seats because of their great condition and feel, and I love my car very much and want to upgrade as much as possible.

forget about replacing car wiring harness it's not practical!
but if your electric guy knows what to do you can connect power and ground to the power seat and get it to work it's not that hard to do but involves building a custom wiring harness for the power seat show electric guy the wiring diagram.
The same goes for the heated seat but it requires more wiring.
I suggest not doing that but it's your car do what you please if you trust your mechanic with your car. if you have any questions I will be happy to help I did tons of these mods to my Kizashi DIY and still working great after 11 years
