Hill Hold

Does anyone know how long the hill hold feature is supposed to hold for.I noticed on my car that it holds for about 3 seconds and then releases.Is this normal or does it hold until you press the gas to go.Thanks

If your unaware of it , your probably driving a manual and I'm not sure if you have this feature.

Hill hold is not available in US Spec cars, and it would be funny not to have Hill hold in manual and have it in CVT.

Hill Hold IS available on US spec cars.My dealer had me try it out on my test drive in New Jersey and my car (CVT) definitely has it and it works fine.I was simply asking if there was some type of timout after a few seconds where it simply releases.If your not qualified to answer the question , don't respond.

It holds for 2 seconds.I should have looked in the owners manual first before asking here.Now I know better.

Rob it's good to know your qualified to read the owners manual it is a wealth of information. Hill hold, still I find it funny.

2 seconds is standard. Can't test it right now because my "hill hold disabled" light keeps popping on.
