i am installing an hid kit this afternoon i cant hardly wait it will look just like the consept kizashi deep blue color. the kit cost me arround 100 bucks including the relay, consealer, and warranty for life, now that is cool

Make sure they are decent quality. It's a lot of work to install them counteless times a year. The instructions on this site were 100% accurate. Only pull on the bumper when it's warm though. Below 50*F and I wouldn't bother.
A lot of the ebay kits are junk. Then again what on there isn't.
I did 6500k on my headlights. 4700k on the high beams (PIAA 100w) and PIAA 10k on the driving lights (more green than teal).
The ballasts are the newer 2 phase units. They do this really neat double flash when they startup up. Designed to continuously adjust the wattage based on the bulbs wear.
You can tell a cheap set from the buzzing they make and flicker (ebay light dance). Good units will not bounce, flicker or buzz. My wife's 2011 hyundai sonata runs a cheaper set. It's a cheap junky car though. There's a massive difference in light output between a decent set and the ebay junk. Lifetime warranty is worthless if it takes a lifetime to get a replacement set. Can't drive with no lights at night, remember that.
Just to stop the attacks, cheap sets work fine - I know - there's a set on my wifes car. But there's a huge difference in quality and light between the $40 and the $600 sets. I paid $220 for mine and it was discounted pretty good. Bulbs are stamped made in germany into the metal, not printed on it. Balasts have a UPC that shows up everywhere, not just with the company that sold it. Not bragging just informing. The Kizashi is a BMW with a lower price, treat it as such.
Light output though, the higher the kelvin the less visable light output. I think 4500-5500k outputs the max light. My 6500k's will throw a very good distance though and appear white with a hint of blue.
Be sure to adjust your drivers side down a tad to not blind everyone coming AT you.
