The 19mph is from the dash readout and the 23mpg is manually calculated? I think that's pretty damn good. Compared to mine

Yes to 19 mph and both manually and using trip readout they are both normally within 1 to 2 mpg of each other anyway.

The car is always in AWD and the A/C is always on.

Decided to run down the 95 ron Tesco fuel we have used since buying the car and tank up with Tesco 99 ron as the spec sheet for this fuel shows a higher density as well as a higher ron. We have now used half a tank and the engine is noticeably smoother on cold and hot running and also responds better under all throttle applications.

Current fuel consumption is 19.7 mpg at an average 14 mph on the 99 ron, both figures taken off trip.

Difference in price was 3 pence a litre but this varies.

This morning's fill-up:
Fuel gauge reading around 1/4 tank, 304.5 miles driven, 10.471 gallons replaced = 29.08mpg.
The car's HUD reported an Avg. of 31.1mpg, since last fill's reset, and a new range of the usual 395.
AWD was not engaged at all this last tank (not that it really matters).

The ever present 35. I don't even bother resetting it anymore haven't for at least a year...it ALWAYS settles at 35mph no matter what. Very little of my daily commute is spent at 35 mph or less. I could be doing 50 for 10 miles and it says 35.

My mileage numbers are horrible barely getting over 23 if I am lucky. What I have seen is that if I use Cruise control as much as possible, my avg jumps up immediately.

If you're living in nyc like your name says, 23 is good. And I bet your average speed on dash display is no more than 30mph. When I lived in nyc area the car was getting no more than 20mpg, cuz of overall AVERAGE speed of 18mph.

I picked up 2 Kizzys in the last 2 months, so still trying to get mpg numbers that represent my real world. Kizzy 1 is 2010 SLS Awd & reported 31.9 on about 200 mi round trip to Denver from Col Springs Incl 20 mi in town & hwy speeds around 70. Kizzy 2 is 2011 SLS Sport AWD. I'm about 70 mi into the tank, all city, & it says 29.4 @ 21mph av. ...but I am really trying. Last tank I did some playing in the snow & hard acceleration fun & that ended at 23 mpg. I have a standard joke I tell when people ask how to get good gas mileage. I tell them "look, you have a gas pedal & a brake pedal to work with, right? ...well if you want to get good milage YOU CAN'T USE EITHER OF THEM!
