We have now upgraded the SRI intakes from RRM. They are now polished aluminum and have about the same architecture but a little improved flow. Main reason for this change is because of complaints/requests for colors, plus for guys in poor climates, they will not have to worry with the aluminum. Basically it is a better deal for all and rest assured it is going to work well for you guys. This is the first piece of the puzzle along with pulley, and piggyback that manages fuel curves and makes huge improvements to the fuel trims from the factory.

I do have to put in my two cents on this. Especially since R/R wouldn't post my review about the original SRI that I purchased. I'm glad to see you have tweaked it and used nice high quality materials. But at the time that I purchased it, the color being advertized on the website was a racing red, with the aluminum heat sheild. What I got was a glossy black, with the aluminum shield. That said it looks great and sounds great. AND I think it has improved performance. My point is that when doing business and selling one thing and then actually sending something different is not the way to grow your business. So I hope R/R is actually sending out this nice polished aluminum version and not some surprise especially now that it went up to $269. Not exactly laundry change!

They are what they are in the picture. We apologize for the issue you had. We were in transition on the color issue and at the same time we had to let our webmaster go. With that said there was a short period that the picture and description was not updated to the new color (gloss black.) Those problems have been resolved on both ends. We have a new webmaster and a new product (series 2 intake) They are nice and does not require some of the components we were having trouble sourcing. Fair is fair though and we do accept the critique. All is solved now.

I think it's a bit pricy considering others out there. But it's a new car, nobody has designed one for the kizzy. So it really boils down to, I just wanted it now. Besides the price, it sounds great. I also went a little bit further with the install by adding a seperate electric fan (that I found being sold as a "super charger" LOL) and hooked it up the existing air intake that sits above the radiator. It simply draws air from outside the engine to the area of the filter on the SRI. I did this because one of the draw backs to an SRI is sucking in HOT engine compartment air, especially at a stand still, which can really make your start slugish (we don't want anymore of that). I think it was a good decision. I feel plenty of pep, you can hear the engine growl, and amazingly the mpg's jumped from 25ish to 29ish immediately after install. The fan itself makes its own rushing air sound that I think is cool too.

Cool. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. BTW the install is pretty easy. I suggest removing the entire stock air intake. I was amazed how much plastic crap is envolved especially going towards the bottom of the engine. Before I thought of the extra fan I had also taken off the inlet thats above the radiator. It gave the compartment a much bigger look. You'll figure out what looks best for you.

Hey man. I just installed it and I'm not really amazed at all . I'm pretty sure it's fucking up my car. You only hear it suck an that's it. When I step on the gas then let go quick the car jumps. Again like I have a automatic car. It shouldn't do this . Maybe I put it on wrong but I doubt that . Any help ?
