Well you can't leave us hanging - what were the other three Suzukis?

Thanks! Ha! I've owned a 1990 Samurai, a 2000 Grand Vitara, and a 2002 Suzuki Aerio SX. The Aerio was purchased brand new when they first came out. I was a regular member of the Aeriostyle forum. I had modded the hell out of that car. But that was many moons ago when I was single and had cash to splurge. Now, most of my money goes towards a mortgage and child care. LOL

Welcome. Seeing pics of a shiny bone stock Sport model will never get old for me. The subtle styling changes between the 2010 GTSs / SLSs and the '11-'13 Sports just finished the car off perfectly. Congrats. How'd you do on the price? What's the mileage?

Is your GTS with the CVT or manual trans? Does it have AWD?
My GTS is currently in the shop getting its wheels painted.

I was originally flip flopping between a newer Grand Vitara or XL7. I even considered the SX4, but I eventually ruled that one out as everyone seemed to have one in the area that I live. I never really seen any Kizashis for sale. Then one day out of the blue, there were three. This one was the closest to me and in the color I preferred. That minute I saw it in person, I knew that was IT. I mean the interior design and quality is so unlike any other Suzuki. It has enough power and torque for my needs. It's like having a luxury car without the luxury price tag. So far my only complaint is the Road noise. I just fix that with the turn of the radio knob. As for price, I think I got a decent deal. Just under 11k. With 3.9% APR. That was the clincher. Car has 64,900 miles. One owner. Oh and yes its CVT AWD.

Welcome to the club! Nice color too, the one I preferred as well but went with the silver due to the manual trans.

You said it... It's like having a luxury car without the luxury price tag. Congrats man! Welcome to the forum...it is nice to see someone who had 3 previous Suzuki buying another one! It means they were probably reliable. Let us know your experience with the other Suzuki you had real quick if you don't mind.

A number of us Kizashi owners were drawn to the car because of our positive experiences with other Suzukis. Folks like myself, Ronzuki, Woodie, SX4rocious, etc. were or are owners of a various range of Suzuki vehicles ranging from the Samurai, Sidekick, SX4, to the Swift. Real Suzukis designed and made by Suzuki in Japan are great cars that offer true Japanese reliability but with better value than Hondas and Toyotas.

My 1998 Sidekick was underpowered with its tiny 1.6 liter cranking out only 96HP but was a goat offroad. It was very durable and never failed me. It also got superior fuel economy to many offroad vehicles like the Wrangler so I was able to offroad all day without draining out my fuel tank. It was unmodified but it took me all kinds of places a Subaru couldn't go because it had a true SUV design with a ladder frame and part-time 4x4 with low gearing. Though it was underpowered and spartan, the thing just ran and it handled the rough stuff very well.
When the Kizashi first caught my eye, I knew it would be a good car given my previous experience with the Sidekick. Given the Kizashi is a 100% Suzuki product that's made in Japan, I knew it would be the real deal.
No car isn't without issues though and the Kizashi has its flaws, but core component issues aren't part of them. My only real gripe with the car is the thin and weak paint.
