I finally changed the battery in both my remotes and it appears to be ok, the cold weather has not affected the fob so far.... Keeping fingers crossed.

I just got my noticed too, I'm passing on this one as I don't want anyone taking my car apart if not absolutely necessary. I have no plans to force the shifter out of gear....

Basically, when exposed to cold for long periods of time it refuses to work. My spare fob is in the garage and it too does the same thing, if I bring it into the house for a couple of minutes it warms up and works again ..... Perhaps a change in batteries is in order even though they test fine.

Has anybody else experience this issue?. I have noticed that in cold weather when the key fob gets very cold it's stops working.
