Well, the weather got a bit warmer and I was already to spend the 15 minutes in my driveway, (Toronto) but now the problem as fixed itself.
Oh well, I'll keep an eye on it. Thanks for the responses!

Oh ok, that's only just over 3 days of driving to work and back home.
I'll give it a try.
I'll give it a try.

Re: WEIRD...weirdest thing I've ever seen in a car. Stereo makes no sound, but.......
sorry to ask so many questions here but how long does it typically take to 're-learn' a driving style? I actually bought the cara while ago, in early/mid 2013, and I afraid it might seem like driving a different car after I reset. (mind you, I had the battery replaced a year ago, I guess this would ...

One or both? I would assume that removing the positive (red) would be enough. Is there anything lost when I do this? (I assume just the clock and radio presets, etc)LPSISRL wrote:Try rebooting the car. Remove the battery cables for 10 minutes and then reconnect.

Thanks for the reply. Nope, no bluetooth. When I say the sound doesn't work, it doesn't work with radio, or CD, or USB, or anything. So weird. I know that opening the door on a Kizashi puts the car in a different "state", like how I hear a little motor go when I ope the door when the car i...

WEIRD...weirdest thing I've ever seen in a car. Stereo makes no sound, but.......
I can make it work by either opening a door, or starting the car with the door open. Once I've opened the door once, stereo works fine. turns on and off, everything works. So, to recap: get into car, close door, turn electrical/engine on with stereo on = no sound. However, open door and close it aga...

Re: with CVT models, 0-60 tests done in auto or maunal mode?
does that mean it's potentially harmful to manually move through the gears (virtual gears) from 1 upwards?

Re: CVT in very high gear at about 35kph (20mph)
I see. Ya, I am not totally used to cars being controlled so completely by computers. Just wanted to clarify, little typo...I typed "the torque converter can totally decide to lock or not." I meant to type the torque converter CAN'T totally decide to lock or not. Just wanted to make sure w...

Re: CVT in very high gear at about 35kph (20mph)
Interesting...mine does the same thing...EXACTLY. it's a bit shocking how precisely that describes the behavior of mine. At around 35kph, my rpm drops from almost exactly 2000 to 1200, and drops pretty obviously and quickly. I get a low rumble till it smooths out around 60kph or so. If this is total...

CVT in very high gear at about 35kph (20mph)
Looking through the forums, I know that this is a bit of an old topic, but bear with me. I have a 2011 Kizashi S FWD. I notice that at around 25mph, it struggles to get any more speed, and only picks up again at around 40mph. There is also a low vibration/rumble in the car. Switching to manual mode,...
