Re: CVT Transmission starting to fail

I've had the same results as "DiggerDerrik". I have over 55K on my red 2011 SLS CVT AWD Nav equipped Kizashi and haven't had one problem with the transmission. I also haven't had any problems with headlights burning out like several on this forum have. Yes, that's probably just dumb 'luck'...

Re: Anyone else had to replace a single tire on their AWD Kizashi?

No disrespect to previous posters since all of them brought up thoughtful and relevant points. However, I don't believe the mismatch of tire thread depths (as indicated--6/32nds vs 9/32nds) would have any effect on the Kizzy differential and it would result in 0, repeat "0" problems. Howev...

Re: New winter wheels

I'm older and biased. However, my order of preference would be opposite of Sluggos'. Really like the ones you have on the Kizzy now. Good choice IMHO! I don't like the 'all black' look which makes the car look 'cheaper' or unfinished. Guess I prefer Chrome or silver rims/accents. But I realize... be...

USE of PREMIUM FUEL IN OUR KIZASHI's

Another good article to read if you still think premium fuel is better for a car like the Kizzy which only requires 87 octane. To quote from page 2 of the article: "The good news, though, is that if your car isn’t as high-strung, there’s absolutely no advantage to putting a higher-grade fuel th...

Re: Anyone else had to replace a single tire on their AWD Kizashi?

Agree with n8dogg. This happened to me with my Michelin Pilot Sports A/S 3s. I got a screw in the tire which occurred within the first 3 or 4/32nd of wear and nobody would fix it (too close to the sidewall). I bought a new tire and put it on the front (since they wear the fastest there). Since then,...

Re: Excessive rear brake wear?

Regarding the Akebono pads that are original equipment on the Kizashi I don't know if they are the ProActs or a pad made specifically for the Kizashi. I do know that often manufacturers use parts that are not the same as aftermarket replacement parts. I've always found it odd that Suzuki made such ...

Re: The Kizzy makes top list for Teens (Again)

Even with 180hp, the Kizashi still weighs in the neighborhood of 3300lbs. It's hardly a dangerous race-car. With the CVT and AWD, it does 0-60 in over 9 seconds which these days is somewhere between "barely getting out of its own way" and grass growing. By comparison, the 2012 V6 Camry co...
