Re: What to do with dark spots on rims?

Funny I never had any wheel paint problems with my '12 gts, and only moderate pin chips on the hood. No worse than my g37 ( that the dealer kindly tried to hide with touchup).

Plus the giant A pillars highlight the cheesy headliner material. One of the very few cheap looking parts of the car. To be fair, lots of cars use similar material, but you don't notice it as much.

Looks for all the world like mold is attacking it. Interesting band around the tire. Possibly related, like a car wash track?

Hey, at least you know your brakes are up to extra-legal speeds. Had mine at 100+ for ages on my trips from Florida and braking was always superb. Not as confident about that in my new car. More heft and smaller brakes.

Re: Glimpses from the Failed Suzuki-VW Merger: Rebadged Jetta Hybrids!?!

I knew a guy who bought one of the original Insights. What a cool car! I thought he was crazy to pay 20k for a subcompact. He delivered medical supplies between Charlottesville and Richmond(VA), and got 77 mph! Changed my mind in a hurry! It was perfect for his needs, but I doubt most around towners...
