Re: Looking for Kizashi with manual transmission

Yeah I’ve seen the one in California. Not crazy about the color but the mileage is good. I’m really not sure how far I’d be willing to travel. Depends on price and mileage. I’m still hoping one comes up for sale within a few hours drive of me. I miss the one I had but I don’t want another automatic.

Looking for Kizashi with manual transmission

I don’t care what trim level, color or miles. Email me if you have one or know of someone who has one. Preferably near Washington state, but for the right car I will travel. Manual transmission only please. Thank you

I know someone who’d buy your headlights if you still have them.

Re: What Did You Do With Your Kizashi Today?

Sold it. I ran the problems it was having past a mechanic friend of mine. He admitted knowing very little about CVT’s but agreed it was most likely transmission related. Then he threw a curveball at me and offered me $400 for it. He wanted it for his wife who works about 10 minutes from home. I told...

Sold it. So I’m officially out of the club. By far the best car I’ve ever owned. The car I drove the most. As well as owned the longest.

RPM fluctuations at freeway speed.

So in the last few months my Kizashi has started to worry me. I get an RPM fluctuation of roughly 100-200rpms when I get back into the throttle after coasting. This was happening maybe once a week. This morning it did it several times. It only does it at freeway speed and the fluctuations do not eff...

Replaced the PCV valve today. I had never even checked it before. After 141,287 miles there was zero rattle to the original one.

I suggest you guys check yours too if you’ve neglected it like I had.

Re: What Did You Do With Your Kizashi Today?

Cleaned the MAS and throttle body. The MAS was pretty dirty. Probably mainly from me over oiling the K&N filter. Car has been doing some weird stuff periodically after decending hills. RPMS fluctuate for a few seconds. No codes. Also unhooking the battery overnight. Ordered a PCV too. $31 from R...

I would bet that foil was the seal on a jug of oil that someone carelessly dumped into the head when filling.

Re: What Did You Do With Your Kizashi Today?

The Interstate battery in my Subaru Impreza lasted about 10 years so to see this one fail at about 3.5 years was a shock though the cars were largely driven in different climates and conditions. I hope this replacement lasts longer. My diesel pickup requires 2 batteries. If one goes bad it’s best t...
