Re: Engine removal out the top?
If you can't get the engine to turn, you will have to drop everything out of the bottom. If you can get the engine to turn, then you can pull just the engine out the top but you must make sure the converter slides back before completely removing the last two bell housing bolts. When these engines ar...

It is most likely a fault in drivers main control switch. Best to try a used one.

Re: Catalytic converter part #?
Wow yeah cool idea! Thanks for the replying In my case, the issue is it's cracked, no problems with codes (yet.) The best the guy who looked at it could do is apply some muffler paste and buy me some time so I've started fishing around for a replacement. I don't recall him offering to do a weld so ...

Re: Catalytic converter part #?
What is the reason for replacing this catalytic converter. If it's for it being cracked, you can certainly repair it by welding it. If it's putting out a code of PO 420 this is best addressed by welding, an O2 bung back behind the second catalytic converter and lengthening the O2 sensor wires by 3 f...

Re: CVT Trans Cooler issue
This was indeed my first idea to stop the leakage too. Unfortunatlly, after removing the corrosion it shows both hose fittings are cracked circumferential more than half of the diameter. If you cant find one , Id be happy to ship a nice one 40USD + Shipping. I shipped a Porsche headlight to Germany...

Re: Engine removal out the top?
You definitely can just pull the engine out of the top although you must get the engine to turn so you can get all of the torque converter bolts out. The biggest problem for most is getting the converter to slide back and stay with the transmission. The torque converters nose is a little bit longer ...

Re: CVT Trans Cooler issue
I have had more than a few of these start leaking here due to corrosion at hose fittings. Ive cleaned off the corrosion and slide the hoses on further. I have yet to replace one. The rest of the cooler has been trouble free.

You need the vdo/continental sensor part number SE10001HP redi- sensor here is a picture. There were a lot of Chinese ones copies for this particular sensor that worked just fine. They don't seem to be on eBay anymore. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20250426/b79aa9eae27d69038f6361e4467c023a.jpg Se...
