Re: RPM Spiking
I just wanted to update this. Suzuki replaced our transmission and TCM, which fixed the problem for about a month, then the RPM's started spiking again, and the drivetrain started making a horrible squeeling sound when it was cold and put into reverse. It took some convincing, and another 3 visits t...

At what point do I consider it a lemon?
I've posted here before about our various issues with our Kizashi, but after our last visit to the dealership I am starting to wonder if we have a car built on a Friday (and so is the service manager at Suzuki). So far in chronological order we've had the following replaced under warranty: - Subwoof...

Re: iPhone Music Volume Issue
This issue has been solved, dealer replaced the head unit and amplifier. The volume spikes were caused by the amplifier according to the dealership, and the volume not adjusting with the car's speed was caused by the head unit. All I know is its all working good now.

Re: RPM Spiking
We can add the amplifier to this list now too... My wife drives this car, and she drives very carefully, on very good roads and never turns the stereo up really unless I am in there with her. All of this stuff breaking or being replaced is all do to faulty equipment, not from abuse in any way. I wil...

Re: Avoid ethanol blend fuel
It's weird because here in Australia normal fuel is 91 Octane then there's 95 and 98. I used 95 for a bit and got good mileage and performance and now im trying the 98. I didn't like the 91 octane here that much but the 95 seemed very good so i'll probably go back to that. The way they measure octa...

Re: RPM Spiking
Ok, transmission and TCM have been replaced... sigh. Suzuki has been good about replacing stuff on warranty, but I am seriously wondering if we have a lemon here. So far we have had the following replaced on warranty and we haven't had the car a year. - Steering Wheel (actually needs to be replaced ...

Re: iPhone Music Volume Issue
Thanks for the reply. I didn't realize it was a common issue. I love this car so damn much but its little things like this that are getting aggravating. I knew of the VLC setting in the stereo menu, I have tried it on all settings and none of them adjust the volume of the stereo when we slow down, a...

iPhone Music Volume Issue
So ever since we've had this Kizashi, we've had problems with both our iPhone (3G and 4) when playing music through the USB cable. The songs will be playing fine, and then all of a sudden the volume will just jump randomly. It doesn't do it with the bluetooth streaming, and it doesn't do it when lis...
