Re: Kizashi information

I've used some of the maintenance items like the filters. I also swapped out the splash guard as yours was in better shape than mine. Thanks again for the goods. As for the Euro comparison, interesting that the Mazda3 calls for thinner oil in the US than Europe. That's the opposite of the Kizashi, ...

Re: Kizashi information

Hi Kuro, I hope the stuff has come in handy :drive:. For what it’s worth, the Kizashi isn’t alone in oil grades differing by region. My Mazda’s engine calls for 0W-20 here in the US, but 5W-30 in Europe, I believe. American owners put either of those in their Skyactiv engines, or occasionally 5W-20,...

Re: Sold my Kiz and thinking of buying another. Good idea or ?

I’d love to have another Kizashi again (as an additional car, not a replacement) but it’s just not the ideal time for me. And that’s before the parts scarcity issue. Honestly I don’t know if I’d even drive it much, if I ever got another. Would be too worried about getting into an accident and losing...

Re: My first Suzuki

What’s the mileage on this car? I’d imagine most 2010 Kizashis at this point are in the danger zone of CVT failure, which is usually anywhere from 100-125k miles, but occasionally below 100k if the car was driven rough and never had the transmission fluid changed.

It seems kind of harmless, but it is strange in how it revives old threads, apparently at random.

Re: The Kizashi Spotting Thread!

I'm honestly not very particular and found myself using the Turtle Wax - Wax and Dry spray the most. It's largely because it's most convenient to spray the product on a wet car and then dry in one process. It's relatively cheap but I've had great results. That being said, I'm currently using a Megu...

Re: The Kizashi Spotting Thread!

My paint is holding up very well. Of course, I have the chips from road debris on the front end but it's not horrible. As for sun damage, I don't see any despite my Kizashi is parked outside 100% of the time both at work and home. Only the headlights show UV damage but I polish it out every several...

Re: Looking to purchase a Kizashi

Also of note is some people trade in or sell their Kizashis after or right before the CVT gives out, and then the new buyer gets to deal with a crippled car. It’s happened and been reported here at least once pretty recently. I think that’s probably less likely to happen with a more informal Faceboo...
