Brake wear sensor

Hi guys,

Just wondering if our Kizashis' have a brake wear sensors? I know I'll need new front brakes soon, but I'm not sure how long I got left. Is there a sensor that can illuminate the dashboard light when the pads are below minimum? Cheers

Re: Steering Issue

Thanks old tech, I'll have a good look when I get the chance. Is it on the floor on the passenger side or at the side of the dashboard? Cheers

Re: Steering Issue

Bump..

Does anyone know where the Steering Control Module is located in the Kizashi (preferably right-hand drive)? Also any photos or instructions about where it is and how to get to it?

I'm considering checking the connections first to ensure all is good before considering replacement..

Re: Steering Issue

Thanks for the reply old tech, I might hate to take you up on your offer. I'll look into part numbers in the next few days and will let you know. Background story: this actual 2010 Kizashi is my fathers, I bought my own brand new one in 2012 because they drove amazing, unfortunately I had to sell mi...

Re: Steering Issue

Hi guys,

I still got issues with the steering and it's driving me crazy; I'm considering replacing the Steering Control Module. Does anyone know if I the used one can be installed and have the dealer reprogram it? Or do I have to buy a new one?

Cheers

Re: Steering Issue

Yeah I've been driving it a bit more with the steering wheel repositioned further toward the dashboard, I think it definitely feels better, still not 100% when returning to center from a turn but much better on center than before. It's hard to explain, but it feels like the steering pulls hard towar...

Re: Steering Issue

Update! Last week I took the Kizashi to an independent steering/suspension mechanic and have been told that the steering rack is all good, but the Power Steering Module is not working as it should, it's reading the wheel speed and steering angle however it's for some reason not reacting. They told m...

Re: Steering Issue

Yeah I thought the different part number might be a problem. Any ideas where I can find part numbers for right-hand drive? I had a look at (https://partsouq.com/en/catalog) and can only get one part number 48580-57L50. Is this only for left-hand drive? Also I guess if the electric motor is faulty, t...

Re: Steering Issue

I have seen a few rack failures. It is not very common for them to fail and can show its self a few different ways. The first one I encountered was way to tight like the drag inside the rack had been cranked up and was very tiring to drive as you had to correct the steering constantly. It was a 201...

Steering Issue

Hi guys, I'm experiencing steering issues where the resistance on center is uneven, the steering feels heavier than I expect throughout however making minor adjustments in either direction from center feels almost no weight to the steering wheel for the initial couple of degrees of turn, then the we...
