The CVT is designed to deliver good fuel economy when driven the exact way that the government fuel economy test is driven. Sounds as if you've found that sweet spot driving 3000-3500 rpm. Everytime i see a Kizashi is either white or Silver, mine is the only "not boring" color XD (Vivid Red)

Yup that happens to me too
These cars dont have a "cap" (idk how to call it) that stops the door from closing.
I dont know why, since practically ALL of the cars Ive driven/seated in have one.
Now i just live with it lol
