Has anyone asked you hide any suspicious packages in your ductwork while crossing the boarder :)

Re: AWD MODE

I don't feel any change unless the AWD actually engages and sends power to the rear wheels. Even then the only thing I notice is the fact that the car is moving as opposed to spinning wheels.

Re: The Kizzy keeps getting reviewed

Hence, I think it makes a great used vehicle for a bargain price, but it really can't compete with new cars out now. eh...I'd still by a new one, right now, over anything new out there today for the same money . Hence why we see discussions on here about what to replace our Kizashi with. There's re...

Re: below zero cold starts

I believe the CVT applies some torque limiting when extremely cold until it's up to temp. I've experienced the same sluggishness when starting to move in freezing temps. Even if you floor it it just will not push alot of energy thru the CVT. Probably a safety feature so the belt doesn't snap when fr...

Re: below zero cold starts

I was told years ago to turn on the headlights for about 30 seconds to get the battery flowing before a very cold start. I'll admit I've never actually tried it. You can do a native indian rain dance too...Doubt that will help. Keep you battery up. Using any more energy before it's needed is not go...

Re: below zero cold starts

I don't see the point of any of that. If your battery is good, it should be able to handle the PA temps. I would say starting every few hours for only 10-15 minutes would not allow the battery enough time to fully charge and then you run the risk of not having enough juice in the morning when you re...

Re: Checking CVT fluid level

The entire system can hold 8 quarts. But if you read the service manual, nowhere does it mention doing a flush. You simply drain from the plug on the pan below the CVT, and refill. What they fail to explain is only 4 quarts are going to come out when you do that. Others have written about removing h...

Re: Checking CVT fluid level

I checked my CVT fluid yesterday according to the owners manual. After driving home from work, about 17 miles, I let it sit for 30 minutes in the garage to cool down a bit before checking. I pulled the dipstick and wiped it off. Started the engine and went through all the gears pausing about 5 seco...

Re: Battery Size?

I've got the 8020-164-35-optima-red-top in mine. I did add a bit of spacer on the crossbar holder as without it the nuts would bottom out on the available thread. You can also put a spacer under the batter. Maybe 1/4 inch. Besides that it works just fine. http://www.amazon.com/Optima-Batteries-8020-...
