Re: P0012: Camshaft Position A - Timing Over-Retarded

Yea I scrolled through that one. Turns out I do have a leaky valve cover gasket so I will have to at least pull that off. Miraculously the CEL went out the other night and hasn't acted up sense. No oil light. No nothing. I'm going to continue to let it ride for a while and see what happens. I'm pret...

Re: P0012: Camshaft Position A - Timing Over-Retarded

The bodyshop would be 100% unrelated. I had a gouge on the roof that needed repair. No reason for anything to be touched under the hood. Why it was there so long is probably an even longer story than your but really just came down to paperwork and approval issues and the availability of the clip on ...

P0012: Camshaft Position A - Timing Over-Retarded

Just started getting this check engine code the other night with an intermittent oil light after the car was in the body shop for a month...the oil light periodically will come on and then shuts off no more than a second or two later. Seems likely that it is the control solenoid which is oil driven ...

Re: New tires for the Kiz...

I'd recommend the Hankook Ventus S1 Noble2. They're about $145 on TireRack and I've been real happy with them. They've been on a year now almost and probably 15,000 miles or so. Been great and traction and noise levels are both great.

I used to use Kumho Ecstas but got sick of how noisy they got.

Re: Pull, Pull, pulling never stops.

I thought it was common knowledge that the car pulls to the left. I remember watching a review video several years ago when I got mine and they mentioned that theirs pulled to the left as well. Mine does it also but it does seem as if it has gotten better over the years. I just live with it.

Re: CVT Replacment coming

I just rolled 115k this morning and haven't even drained and filled mine and have no issues. The car makes a few noises but it's also got some serious mileage on it and I drive pretty aggressively. I intend on asking the Suzuki certified tech next time I have a major service done in the coming weeks...

Re: [ AFTERMARKET PROVIDERS ]

Just an FYI, I got the EBC rotors and pads last year and maybe 15-20k miles later they are warped. Absolute trash IMO. Just stick with the stock ones is my recommendation.

Re: What Did You Do With Your Kizashi Today?

Went to the shop today to have new tires put on for the winter and had them take care of the oil. Last week my passenger side headlight went out so I replaced it, of course with no issues whatsoever. I'm sittingin the waiting room and they come to me and say that my driver side is out now. $25 to re...

Re: Post your wheel/suspension setups...

Same here. Width differences as far as I know shouldn't ruin your transmission, it's when your rolling diameter is changed that it will start to mess things up. Keep you overall diameter the same and you should be fine, at least that's the research I've concluded. CG1 and I have been discussing dif...

Re: Post your wheel/suspension setups...

Yea, I've got an AWD so running the same width is the plan. Maybe going to run slightly different offsets but not looking like it.
