Re: What Did You Do With Your Kizashi Today?

Please post some pics and let us know how the heated seat connections go...hoping they are in there and plug and play. (That's how the Mazda MX-6 was- prob the Probe, too) I can say confidently, that they are Plug and Play. All of the wiring and fuses already exist for power and heat on both the pa...

Re: What Did You Do With Your Kizashi Today?

I replaced my pristine beige cloth manual seats, with a nice set of the power, heated black leather seats. The now two tone interior is interesting, but does not seem terribly out of place. I'm waiting for a heated seat climate panel to arrive later this week, for some final testing. If anyone has a...

Re: What Did You Do With Your Kizashi Today?

I'm A bit confused - what did you mean by "have a shop swap the springs for the new struts" - aren't those separate parts of the front suspension assembly? are you also replacing springs as well as struts? In a standard automotive strut design (the MacPherson strut), the damper (the part ...

Re: What Did You Do With Your Kizashi Today?

For the fronts, I would also suggest taking a close look at the upper strut mounts (which also contain a bearing) and having them replaced if the condition appears poor, as the strut must be disassembled in order to replace them. KYB has these available in the aftermarket for the Kizashi as well. Y...

Re: What Did You Do With Your Kizashi Today?

I'm glad this topic is back up because I am certain at this point of around 100K miles, I need new shocks on all four corners. Years ago, there was a discussion about OE vs. the KYB shocks and struts (dampers, collectively) and whether the various Kizashi models (FWD vs. AWD vs. Kizashi Sport vs. K...

Re: CVT Fluid Drain and Fill w/ Filters Replacement

Could someone post a picture of their fluid level on their dipstick with the car cold and not running? Someone with the stick with the drilled holes. Still getting bubbles in the fluid at operating temp. I want to see if it helps me figure if it's over or under filled (or possibly fine) That is unp...

This is the full procedure. Still related to the vent line getting blocked:

Re: Typical Acceleration

Does anyone happen to know the relation between the throttle position sensor and the torque convertor lockup on these cars? Is the lockup adjustable via the TPS is what I am getting at or not related at all? I ask because my TPS voltage on my truck directly affects lockup of the convertor With the ...

Re: 114 Days: Pt III (3rd time's a charm)

Oooh, gotta get brake fluid! Any recommendations? I'm partial to the Pentosin DOT4 LV or ATE SL.6 low viscosity brake fluids. The leave the brakes (and the ABS / stability control systems) a little more responsive in the cold. Last I looked either one could be had for $15 to $20 a liter. A little p...

Re: Looking for 2920a096 o ring

You can absolutely find it on eBay, or order it through your local Mitsubishi dealer. However, that o-ring is only used if you are changing the small external CVT filter element. In all instances that I am aware of the factory o-ring has been in good enough condition to reuse, however I understand w...
