Re: 25 years from now....
Holy! How old was that thing? Even my '76 VW bus had fuel injection... though I can totally relate on similar horsepower specs and absurdly slow acceleration. It was an '86, so a full ten years newer than your bus! It had a curb weight of just over 3000 lbs, so you can imagine just how athletic it ...

Re: 25 years from now....
I owned a Trooper II for a short while. The body and interior were in beautiful condition, but that thing bled me dry with mechanical issues over the 12 months I owned it. It was also the slowest accelerating vehicle known to man (85 hp carbed four cyl.) It was a love-hate relationship, but I do wis...

Re: Autonomous Car interest?
I'm fine without autonomous driving, but I mainly commute by train so I miss out on the worst of driving.
I just hope they allow autonomous cars and motorcycles to coexist in some form though.

Re: What Did You Do With Your Kizashi Today?
The gear knob still looks good on mine, but I do have low-ish miles (46k). Have you looked at other knob options? I don't know if they're compatible sizes, but the STI knob is on my list of alternatives should mine wear out. http://www.cars101.com/subaru/wrxsti/wrxsti15-shiftknob5.jpg And yeah it ma...

Re: Winter Tires
For winter tires do you need to have the TPMS sensors, or will you car run fine without them? You don't need them, and your car will run fine without them...you'll just have to deal with the tire pressure warning lights in the dash (annoying but ignoreable). Don't forget to check your tire pressure...

Re: What Did You Do With Your Kizashi Today?
It has been snowing on and off this weekend so I've been in the garage checking things off my car and motorcycle to-do lists. I did an interior detail on the Kizashi - it still looks sharp after six years

Re: High beam and fog Lights?
Fogs aren't on with the high beams because it's counterproductive. When it's foggy, you wouldn't use high beams. Therefore if you are using high beams, it's obviously not foggy.

Re: Civic Hatchback Sport vs KIzashi
At least for me, lane departure systems I've experienced are intrusive and pointless if you actually pay attention to the road. But on the Accord it is packaged with their adaptive cruise control, and that's the tech I want. Having ridden in a Subaru w/ Eyesight and seen their cruise control in acti...
