Re: Kizashi CVT fluid

Yes, the Suzuki Green 1V and the Nissan NS2 are the same spec fluid, used in the same family of Jatco transmissions for both manufacturers

Re: 2nd tranny acting up - time to go?

There was a recall on some 2013 Kizashi and SX4s for a hardware flaw in the TCM that could result in improper pressure control which could cause overheating. If this has not been done, I would check to see if it applies to your vehicle:

Re: FYI: RRM rear sway bar on sale for $199

I'm now in this situation for a rear end link. This past weekend, I tried to replace them but the driver side rear end link nut was seized with rust. Of course, due to the end link design, you need to hold the bolt with a 5 mm Allen while working the nut. Well, the Allen head is an utterly worthles...

Re: Heated Power Seat Installation

Dudddde...that is SOOO cool. I love stuff like this. You put the tan backs on the new black leather-trimmed seats, too!? That looks so cool. And I agree with KlutzNinja-- If they made the Blue with Black Interior----I'd HAVE to have one of them. You prob have the only Kizashi with this color combo!...

Re: Inner tie rod end

Sankei 555 has recently listed list an inner tie rod for the Japanese market Kizashi in their catalog, part number SR-S070 (Suzuki part # supposedly 48830-57L00, but there is a fair chance Sankei 555 was the OEM). As noted in this thread, Suzuki does not appear to acknowledge that part or number exi...

Re: 103k on original rear shocks...

I had my front suspension replaced with new struts and mounts but still have a slight creaking noise when I turn at low speeds (such as in a parking lot) over uneven ground. It's not a steering issue as much as a noise related to the suspension. I suspect it's worn sway bar components such as the b...

Re: 103k on original rear shocks...

My take is that thumping and clunking is most likely to be the sway bar bushings or the sway bar end links being shot. (Or possibly a broken or loose mount somewhere.) Regardless of the cause of the noise, at over 10 years and 100k miles all of the original parts, excepting the springs themselves, a...

Re: Almost a rough idle?

The strange idle could have been related to the other components I cleaned but the "bouncing" occurred every time I drove over the course of a few days until the battery was disconnected. The battery disconnect and subsequent reset of control electronics is what fixed it instantly. I woul...

Re: Nothing lasts forever

Obviously, I'd suggest starting by checking the fluid condition / level, but your latest was a 2013, right? Did you ever check to see if the 2013 TCM recall applied to your car or have it done? I posted a copy of the notice here, a couple of years ago: https://www.kizashiclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php...

Re: Haynes trans. cooler for Jatco JFO11E CVT?

The Kizashi already has a fairly large secondary CVT cooler that sits in the bumper opening. I'd say it is not likely to be worth changing to something else. For other applications (many Nissans) that had no secondary cooler, it might be worth adding one.
