Re: CVT Fluid Level Check Question
Thanks. It's just so weird. How can the level appear different on one side of the dipstick or the other.

Re: CVT Fluid Level Check Question
Hey, I just wanted to refresh this question as I've not received any answers. To keep it short, I'm finding it very hard to accurately check the CVT fluid level. Even after running it and checking it hot, I've got different levels on either side of the dipstick. The level also seems to drop the long...

Re: Valve Cover Gasket
After looking a the service manual on valve adjustments, it indicates that there are tappets that are replaced to take up valve lash and not screw adjustment at the top of the valve like I've seen before. According to the manual, you have to remove the camshafts and replace the tappets if the valve ...

Re: My 2012 SE leather.
Just to add my two cents, my 2011 SLS did not come with the navigation head unit. Just that same RF that was in the GTS. I can't recall if anyone mentioned auto-headlights as it's one of my favorite features. Also, I thought that heated seats only came in leather. Also, I believe that the Kizashi wa...

Re: A piece came off my kizashi and idk where it goes
I'm sure it popped off, fell onto the plastic cover below and then rolled into the bumper cover the first next time the brakes were applied.

Re: Valve Cover Gasket
I've only done one valve adjustment in my days and it was years ago. I'm not sure I'd trust myself and might make things that are OK, no OK. Since I got my Kizzy with 33K on it (now 126K) I've always thought that the idle was not as smooth as it should be. Example if the plastic engine cover shaking...

Re: A piece came off my kizashi and idk where it goes
Kuro is exactly right. My brain played a trick on me when I was looking at it. The picture appear to be taken at an angle and not straight on from the side. Weird that I looked at it several times and was never able to resolve it correctly... Until this morning. Now I can't even see it the way I did...

Re: A piece came off my kizashi and idk where it goes
I'm not so sure. The hood bumper stops are round a bit thicker. I was thinking maybe from one of the radiators to keep them from rattling around.

Valve Cover Gasket
I need to replace my valve cover gasket. Looking for recommendations. Rockauto.com has one but I'm not familiar with the brand. Autozone and O'Reilly's don't stock them.
Thanks,
Tim

Re: Happy New Year
No plans on getting rid of mine. Just did a flush and fill on the CVT (times 3). I need to address a leaky valve cover gasket. (I think that's where the oil is coming from) A squeak in the rear suspension although I replaced them and the bump stops a couple of years ago. Might be a bushing or link. ...
