Hey Suman, I dont have enough info on your issue to give you any kind of a diagnoses. I have had a strange vibration from a transmission but it was with certain speeds and loads. maybe a video and trouble code scan of all systems.

What I mean by a sharp smell is if you take the green cap off and take a whiff and it smells like something other than coolant than you have a problem. Sometimes its so strong it stings your nose. Do you have heat in cabin at all? Is there a sharp smell at coolant reservoir? With engine cold and rad cap in place, how long after running does top hose take to firm up?

I don’t think you’ve hurt anything and have caught it fast enough. Long term this would have destroyed the transmission. I think you’ve caught it soon enough. It is a good plan on changing out the fluids multiple times to get it cleaned out. The noise will return to normal as this fluid gets changed...

If you can source a used one , that would most likely be fine. I’ve seen brand new on eBay for $100.
