Re: Voltage fluctuation and error codes

Interesting. I doubt it would have left the factory like that. Didn't you mention earlier it happened after they replaced your horn? I suspect that it might be a rat that has chewed the wire. I had seen a rat inside but i thought i was seeing things. Looks like it was a rat after all. But that mean...

Re: DIY alignment check up

It's going to be more accurate than your ability to set the alignment.

I've been happy with mine. The wear has been MUCH better than the original Dunlops.

DIY alignment check up

You can just use the same place on the tread pattern and avoid the pins and rolling time. With most tires having circumferential grooves these days, it's especially easy. Also, the distance should NOT be zero, there should be some small amount of toe in. You can also check camber, the other tire wea...

Re: Which oil type

In the US, the recommended interval is 7500 miles. If I'm only changing then oil twice a year, I don't have as much issue paying for synthetic.

Re: Voltage fluctuation and error codes

If your voltage is <13 V or so, you are not charging the battery because there is not sufficient voltage to overcome the internal resistance of the battery.

Re: Impact drivers, adapters and bits for car work

DeWalt power tools are made in Mexico primarily (my last job we made a lot of parts for them)

I use a Craftsman 19.6V impact driver for most things. If it comes down to real torque, I bust out the air tools. In air tools, Craftsman is the same as Ingersoll Rand, but 1/2 the price.

Re: Intake/Catback ordered

Real Stainless steel doesnt stick to magnets (T304-best). Once again, not true. Some stainless is magnetic, and some is not. Agreed, type 304 is not magnetic - but that does not mean its best for an exhaust. For example, in the same family - 316 is far more corrosion resistant, and the 4xx series (...

Re: Bumper Removal, Headlight Removal, and HID Kit Installat

At the same time, my Ryobi kit was only $100 so I'm not too invested into it if I see another brand on sale. As someone who has taken this route, I would recommend sticking with one. I have a gazillion chargers and batteries that won't work with each other - really wish I had just stuck to one &quo...

Re: Euro travels

I travel the world A LOT for work, and when people ask me where to go, the answer is ... Northern Italy - always. Don't worry about restaurant recommendations - anywhere will be the best food you've ever had. Venice is everything it's made out to be. Fantastic. Small though - 1.5/2 days is enough to...
