Re: Paint Chip concerns..
White Kizashi, almost a year old. No significant paint problems, just a couple of small chips on the edge of the rear door sill (passenger side). I used a bit of white rust paint to cover each up, and they're completely invisible from more than a metre now.

Re: Noises
I've had days when I was hearing annoying buzzing caused by the engine lugging vibration (mostly on very cold days, before the engine warmed up, but not only). VERY annoying. Things I've noticed were prone to buzz: - the lower console door (the one replaced under warranty for opening too easily) - t...

Re: What small things are you surprised the Kizashi doesn't
For the Canadian version: homelink and HIDs. And navigation, to a lesser degree (as I don't dig the way the one Suzuki offers looks). I hate it when the "top of the line" version does not offer (even as options) features that the car has in other parts of the world. Suzuki's not the only o...

For the CVT versions, you can do that by stopping it while in drive (AFAIR). Not sure if it's healthy or not for the engine, though...~tc~ wrote:The other is the way the engine switch works. I really wish there were a way to stop the engine and keep the radio on. The nav takes forever to boot up.

The second part, that's even less visible, it's where Kizashi manages to keep up with the Altima.

Same here. BTW, has anybody tried to see if the 2011 sport wheels are available for purchase from the dealerships? Any cost estimates (compared with other options)?Ronzuki wrote:I like the looks of them on the Kiz better than my 2010 stockers, but not better than the 2011 sport wheels.

Re: HID conversion
Thanks a lot for this info and the link. I was hoping something like this would exist. Now I might think seriously about going this route... I just paid $59 (plus tax) for the second pair of "high performance" halogens (nighthawk, the first pair was silverlight ultra) in less than a year, ...

It's visible enough on a brighter screen. I have trouble seeing what's happening in the second part on my laptop's screen, but had no problem earlier today, on a better screen at work.
Thanks for posting it. Regardless of how dark the video is, the evidence is pretty clear.

Just curious, how much would such a system cost?Drem wrote:My previous car I built for car audio competition. We're not talking a stereo to blow out windows (though it is capable of high volume).
