Re: Gone but not forgotten

So last spring, after owning my Kiz for about 4 years, a couple dings, some unsightly paint damage on front fender from a grocery cart, a broken drivers seat repaired under warranty, scuffed rims, 2 sets of tires.......I DECIDED TO KEEP IT AND CONTINUE DRIVING IT AND BOUGHT MY DREAM CAR....VETTE!! I...

TPMS info - reprogrammed so only "!" blinks when psi is low

I checked around on this board because I don't want to repeat what someone else has already posted. So apologies if someone has already mentioned this. I posted a while back about getting new tires and having the tire-changer guy break one of my TPMS sensors. They replaced it for free, but my "...

Re: Kizashi TPMS

Thanks for the advice. I'll definitely be taking it to the dealership. It was just a bizarre experience for me. I was just in disbelief that a corporate auto chain (Sears) just shrugged their shoulders. I'm sure they see other Suzukis and would have programmed those. But maybe the particular Sears I...

Kizashi TPMS

I've owned my 2010 Kizashi AWD GTS for exactly 2 years now. I love the car because I think it has some good stuff on it for the cost, and it's got AWD which has worked great for me in snow. The only complaint I've had is the freaking TPMS & tires! Anyhow, in 2 years, I've fought two problems wit...

Re: GTS Wheel Rash DIY Repair

I did the repair last May or June 2011, and it's Feb. 2012. The repair has held up just fine after all the car washes and driving and bad weather and bad roads. I forgot I even did it. But it's just a repair. It doesn't look ghetto, but it's not perfect. If you get down and look at the wheel, it's n...

Re: Curbs and Kizashi don't mix

Yup. I actually posted in the DIY section of a paint job I did on my wheel. A year ago, I backed out of a parking spot and forgot a curb was next to it, and I tore the hell out of the wheel. I learned that the wheel will make contact with a curb before the tire does. I scratched a rear rim as well i...

Re: Kizashis are a Super Investment

I would expect to get a decent trade-in value if I were to trade my GTS Kizashi. I think AWD 4-cyl. sedans are rare, and there would definitely be a buyer somewhere in Colorado or up north that's looking for a small sedan that does ok in snow. Throw some Winter-Force type of snow tires on this baby ...

Re: TPMS

I've got a GTS with 18'' wheels. I fill my tires to about 38psi. If they fall enough below 35psi, the TPMS warning will go off. Oh, a follow-up on my Firestone TPMS experience. I went ahead and just took my Kizashi up to the Suzuki dealer and it was under warranty. They replaced the leaky valve. Fir...

Re: TPMS

Months ago, I had a very slow leak. I was sure it was a valve stem or TPMS, because it was the wheel I hit a curb with prior. Turned out it was actually a nail/screw in tire. Problem solved. Months later, I developed a slow leak in another tire. I have a Firestone near my house which deals with tire...

Oh, and if I were to get my wheels painted....I always thought orange wheels/mirrors would look cool on the kizashi
