Re: After Kizashi - What New Vehicle?

If I was in Europe and I needed a car to succeed my Kizashi, and it had to drive well and be practical, I’d consider the Mazda6 Touring (i.e. the estate/station wagon) over a crossover. It can be had with the turbo and it looks pretty cool. A shame the US never got the 3rd gen. I’m not sure they’re ...

Re: The Kizashi Spotting Thread!

Encountered a Jimny the other night. Couldn’t take a picture, unfortunately, as it was in motion and it all happened fast. Saw this little rolling cube with LED headlights in a dark stretch of road, and wasn’t sure of what I was seeing. Then it rounded the corner under a street lamp, and I was able ...

Re: The Kizashi Spotting Thread!

Last night I saw the first Kizashi in the wild in almost two years (I’m not counting KuroNekko’s because that was a meet-up lol). A dark blue model of lower trim, I thought it might have been the same one I found at the nearby Target almost exactly three years ago (I posted a picture of my Kizashi p...

Re: Is there a splash shield...

Thanks everyone. I forgot my original pics! DOH! Called them back and gave them the part number and they are ordering it. Hi can you please give my the part number. Mine is missing from beneath the oil sump. I also thought that was normal. I bought this same part from MegaZip a couple years ago bec...

Re: In appreciation of Old Tech

There’s not much I can say that hasn’t already been said, other than this forum would be very, very different if old tech had never joined.

Re: Kizashi CVT repair shop in south Florida? 33905

I would also suggest considering a reputable Nissan specialist mechanic shop if there is one; Nissans use(d) a similar JATCO CVT, so it can be assumed that a Nissan specialist should have worked on the JF011E’s cousins before, since Nissans are also known for early CVT failure. From what I’ve read, ...

Re: Is there a way to start your 2012 kizashi without the key fob?

Good luck with getting a new fob and starting the car again (no sarcasm lol). This is the cheapest new fob I could find online, although I got my spare from NorthCoastKeyless and had a good experience with them. They raised their price since I got my fob last year, though. https://www.abkeys.com/abk...

Re: My (Kizashi’s) time has come

Plot twist: the key fob was apparently lost by the tow truck driver who transported my car from the storage lot to the body shop. As mentioned earlier in this thread, I have a blank fob, but that’s it. No second programmed fob. That’s on me, although I’ve never lost a fob/key in my decade of owning ...

Re: My (Kizashi’s) time has come

Sorry this happened to you and glad you are ok . The car from an insurance stand point is definitely totaled although quite fixable. $3000 is my estimate for fixing with used parts and then would carry an R on the title. Wish you were closer. Id buy this and fix if you passed on fixing it. All part...

Re: My (Kizashi’s) time has come

Oh man, so sorry to see this but glad you're safe. I agree that the car is likely totaled in the sense of cost to repair vs. value though pros like OldTech can probably get it running again, maybe. I also agree that replacing the Kizashi with another isn't a good plan, especially where we live in S...
